To tell you the flat out honest truth. I completely forgot today is the last Friday of September. I can't even remember half the conversations I've had today because it's gone in one ear and out the other. Today is not my day. Doesn't help I spent all morning in the car driving. I'm someone who will avoid driving if I can get away with it just for the fact that it is such a draining task. Okay, moving on. This month nothing special has happened with my writing. I've moved on to editing/rewriting Alvina, Now, when I say rewriting, I mean: writing it all out by hand adding bits, swapping bits around before typing it all up again. Such a hard way to edit a 40,000+ novel but I find if I try and edit it any other way it doesn't work. I'm half way with that so I should be finished within a few weeks providing I get my spark back. This week hasn't been my week for writing. To be honest September has been a really non eventful writing month. Pause! Rewind! I can't believe I had forgotten this tiny little bit of information. Brace yourselves. I met Cassandra Clare and Holly Black in the first weekend of the month!! I know I posted about it on my Facebook page but I thought I should include it in the blog. On Saturday the 5th of September, I caught the train into Brisbane to attend the Brisbane Writers Festival 'Love YA' event. BEST DAY EVER! It was scary at first. I could count how many times I've been to Brisbane on one hand - you got me, more like a handful of times - I'm not a city person at all but I went anyway. I was there for the whole event. I saw so many incredible authors that day, I got the signatures to prove it! I also brought home a stash of books. Like I need to add to my 200. I kid you not that afternoon I met Cassandra Clare and Holly Black. It was incredible. I loved every minute of it. It was unreal. I was very glad to get home though. I went way out of my comfort zone and actually enjoyed myself, not getting lost in the big smoke was a bonus too! That has been the only major thing that has happened in the month of September.
